Ingredients

Mocha float dessert in a glass, layered with cream and dusted with grated chocolate

Method

  1. 01

Mix crushed grahams with melted butter in a clear rectangular baking dish. This will serve as the crust.

  2. 02

Combine nestle cream, condensed milk and crushed 2 packs of hansel mocha biscuit.

  3. 03

Pour the milk mixture into the baking dish.

  4. 04

Sprinkle the remaining crushed hansel mocha biscuit at the top of the mixture.

  5. 05

    Freeze for 4-6hours before serving.

Cooking Tips

  • Chill the cream and the bowl before whipping. Warm cream will not hold its volume.
  • Give it the full overnight set. Under-chilled float will not slice and collapses on the plate.

Ingredient Substitutions

  • Graham crackers can be replaced with any plain sweet biscuit, such as Marie or digestive.
  • Instant coffee gives a stronger mocha flavour than brewed coffee, which waters the layers down.

What to Serve With It

  • Serve straight from the fridge in small portions - it is very rich.

Storage and Reheating

  • Keeps 4 days covered in the fridge.
  • Freezes well for up to a month and can be eaten semi-frozen, like an icebox cake.
